Decoding

Basic Functionality

Decoding works the same way as encoding but with the opposite goal: transforming the mini-code strings back into the correct characters.
To do this, the software must identify and isolate the various strings, then convert them back into the correct characters, which will be inserted into a readable text file.

The matrix.json and code.txt files

To decode a text, we must first ensure that the workspace folder contains the matrix.json file and the code.txt file.
These 2 files are essential for decoding.

If they were previously moved to separate folders and renamed—as recommended—we will need to import them back into the workspace folder using the Import functions available in the same folder.
They will be renamed correctly and ready for decoding.

Text Generation

To perform a decoding, enter the Decode a code section and click on Decode.
After that, the text will be generated automatically, saved locally, and viewable in the workspace folder under the name text.txt.
